a continent or visiting Grandpa’s house down the road.
Guided by Atlas, their cheerful explorer companion, children
pack their bags, set their goals, track the weather, discover
new foods, doodle what they saw, and capture the one thing
they’ll never forget: the most AMAZING moment of the day.
With 23 days of daily journaling, adventure checklists, treasure
hunting guides, colouring pages, and mazes, this is more
than a journal. It’s proof that your child was here, curious,
and paying attention.
PROCESS
Character Design
This journal is built around two main characters: Atlas and Lily, who accompany the child throughout a 23-day journey.
Storyboard
The book consists of 72 spreads (36 pages). Each spread and activity is not only different from the others but also uniquely designed to keep children engaged. Every page has been carefully tested and adapted for children aged 5–12, ensuring that the activities are neither too simple nor too challenging for this age range.
Cover Design
Several cover versions were created, each with a different level of detail and a unique perspective on the story. Every concept highlights a distinct mood and moment,
From Sketch to Final Illustration
Each spread went through careful development, multiple revisions, and thoughtful refinement to bring Ilai’s world to life. Every stage of the process was guided by attention to detail and emotional clarity — and every moment spent was worthwhile, as this journal was created with love and intention on every page.
